Baby ACNE Blues!

With our trip to Texas not so rapidly approaching I wanted to get Brooklyn to the doctor for her "rash" on her face. It turns out that it is not a "rash" it is baby acne. We are very bumped. Dr. Ishibashi says it generally clears up by four months. I really wanted to have her pictures taken while we were in Waco, but we will see how her face looks. She also has a slight case of cradle cap. I am treating that with a calming cream. It is on the back of her neck so you really can't see it. Also, she has little bit of eczema on her ears and side of her face. My poor precious baby. It makes me very sad. We also got weighted and she tipped the scales at 10.65 lbs. She is up 2.3 lbs from her birth weight. She is in the 75% of her weight class. Her next doctor appointment is Friday the 13th of February for her two month check up. This is also the doctor appointment from hell, Brooklyn is scheduled to get FIVE shots. I am sure I will cry. Well if anyone knows any home remedies for baby acne let me know. My daughters beautiful face needs to clear up. She is still adorable.

Texas Here WE Come!

Brooklyn and I are very pleased to announce we will be in Texas at the end of the month. I am very excited because Brooklyn will meet her G-pa, Aunt Veronica, Wow, Uncle Spankie, Aunt Liza and all of her cousins for the first time. I also think she will be able to meet her Great Aunt Juanita and Uncle Joe and other members of the family. I am hoping my cousin Lanita and Aunt Jeannie and Lanitas' boys will be able to make a trip to Waco to meet her. I am looking forward to this visit. I am a little nervous about Brooklyn being on the airplane. I hope she will be a good baby. We are leaving Reno at 6 am so hopefully she will still be sleepy. I have a few misc. pictures of my little love. Enjoy and see yall soon!
XOXO

ONE Month Old! (Yesterday!)

Well we made it! Brooklyn Lea is one month old! She is such a precious little angel. She loves to scream when she is hungry. She is a great sleeper. She is starting to attempt to hold her head up. She loves to look around. Brooklyn also makes the cutiest little noises, ecspecially after she sneezes. She also loves to get kisses from her mommy. Brooklyn is such a little cuddle bug. She loves to sleep in her mommy's arms and on her chest.

First Time Out!

While my ladies were here I went out for the first time since Brooklyn was born. We went to dinner at Ichibans and did a little gaming with the girls. I left Brooklyn with a friend of mine Elizabeth. She took such great care of my baby, but Brooklyn missed me the whole time. She didn't go to sleep until I got back.

What a great weekend!

We had a really great weekend. All of the girls came down from Texas to see my little love Brooklyn. I am really glad the girls were able to hang out, go skiing and have a great time.
I know that Brooklyn was glad to see them go. She is ready to get her full sleep time in. I love my girls, but damn they are loud. Brooklyn didn't get a full nap in for two and a half days. I am happy to report that she is sleeping peacefully NOW. We had such a great visit with Lindsey, Michelle, Brandy, Emily and Andrea, who says she is moving to Reno.

Lazy Kids? Not Me Mommy!

My mother seems to think because we don't post pictures everyday we are lazy. I am busy taking care of a newborn and getting ready for company. Nick was home pretty much all day yesterday and found out just how difficult it is to take care of a baby all day and try to get housework done. It took me a good hour and a half just to clean the laundry room. So, today he took my to do list of cleaning and did all of it himself. He dusted, vacuumed, mopped, toilets, mirrors, floors, stove you name it and he did it. When I got  home tonight. I was amazed. I just have to clean our bedroom. I don't have all the time in the world. So for my mother some candid pictures of my baby Brooklyn. She is getting cuter and cuter everyday! I am just so in love with her.
