10 Months

This past week London Willow turned 10 months. I am really not sure where the time is going. I need to get on the party planning. I am so excited for her to turn one. She is such a little ham. Since she got back from her vacation in Texas for 3 weeks she is NOT the best sleeper. She will cry and cry and cry some more. I always give in and go craddle her, but that doesn't seem to help. We upgraded to a big car seat no more bucket seat. She loves it. She can look around just like her big sister. She is standing up and grabbing on to things, but no walking yet. I am so in love with my little love muffin she brings great joy to my life.

Oh Summer time! We are spending a ton of time outside. London is growing so much. This week she just cut two teeth. She is such a happy go lucky little girl. Brooklyn is a handful. She is so stubburn and sassy!

This past week I took London to the doctor for a belated 4 month check up that was really her 5 Month Check Up. London weighted 14.35lbs and is 25 inches long. We got the pkay to start her on baby food. We started her out on applesauce. She loves it. Next week is carrots. Yummy!!!

And who could forget about the loving Big Sister!

I am pretty sure Brooklyn will hate me for posting the picture of her little tushy, but I just thought it was so cute. BW just loves to take baths with LWW, LWW is not a big fan of all of the splashing, but she is learning to deal with it. I honestly can't wait for LWW to start interacting more with BW because she just loves her sister.

Since outside is covered in the fluffy white stuff we spent the day indoors...Brooklyn in her Minnie Mouse panties, which didn't last very long she had a accident. She sat on the potty about thirty times before she had her accident, but we will continue the very long potty training process. Brooklyn is such a little dare devil. We are starting her in gymnastics the first week of March. I am so excited. London was trying to eat rice cereal. She takes it out of her bottle, but I try to give it to her by spoon and she gags on it. She turned four months yesterday, but we don't go to the doctor until the first week of March so I will post her stats then. The girls are just getting so big so fast. It seems that I can't even close my eyes because they keep changing.

Roll over! Yesterday London rolled over from her back to her belly on the floor. It is such a great accomplishment for my almost FOUR month old, but that is another post. I am so proud of her. This week we also started her on rice cereal. She is loving it and getting so fat, during the day she is only eating every five hours with five ounces of breast milk. She normally wakes up only once a night so she is sleeping wonderfully. I am so excited about that.Things are absolutely amazing.

London's Two Month Stats

Like I said in my previous post London had her 2 month check up today. Which was going smoothly until it was time for the shots. London was actually fast asleep, but she had to have a oral shot and then three normal shots in her leg. It was a painful thing to have to watch, but right after London's shots it was time for Brooklyn to get her flu shot. So I comforted London, but she wouldn't stop crying. So I had to put her down. London had a really great check up much like her big sister she has sensitive skin and cradle cap, but is packing on the pounds and can hold her head up amazingly well for a two month old.

Stats:

Weights 11 pounds and 13 ounces which is the 50th percentile.
Height is 22 inches which puts her in the 25th percentile.
Her head circumferences is 15.7.

After all of her shots her big sissy gave her sweet sweet kisses.

2 Year Stats

Today I had the double please of taking both of my girls to the doctors for there check ups. I will start with Brooklyn's 2 year check up since it was in fact first and the easiest one of the day...I will say I will not schedule the check ups at the same time again or I won't go solo. Unfortunately Nick was unable to attend because he had to work so I did do it solo. Big mistake!

Dr. Ishibashi was very pleased with Brooklyn's progress, knowledge, vocabulary and just her overall. She asked Brooklyn a series of question, wheres your eyes, nose, mouth and such as she was checking her out. She knew where everything was and then Brooklyn even surprised me when Dr. I asked her where her back was and Brooklyn knew. It was pretty cute. It isn't one of the everyday things we ask her if she knows what it is, but Brooklyn knew. Then it was time for Brooklyn to jump so Dr. I asked her where the blue square on the floor was and Brooklyn failed she had no idea. So today when we got home we practiced our colors. I know she is just TWO, but Brooklyn is really smart. No seriously, it is not just because I am her mother. Brooklyn got a clean bill of health. She isn't due a scheduled visit until she is THREE.

Stats:
Weights only 24 pounds. Which I believe she said was the 25th percentile.
Height 33.5 inches again the 25th percentile.
Head circumference was 18.7 the 50th percentile.

Brooklyn did have to get a flu shot today. I took a little video of it. Pardon the screaming baby in the background London didn't do so well with her shots.

Two Joyful Months

Today my little London is two months old! I honestly don't know where to begin. London you have made our family complete. The joy you bring to my heart everytime you smile or giggle is indescribable. You big sister loves you so very much, she just adores you. Today Brooklyn tried to feed you some of her chocolate chip cookie, but mommy stopped her. She loves to call you her baby. We are trying to break her of that. You are such a great little sleeper, but have a rough patch of the day between 3pm and 6pm. You really just want to "talk" ie cry and be held which mommy has no problem loving on you. Daddy loves to talk to you and make you laugh. You still make him uneasy with your wobbling ways, but he is coming around. We go to the doctor on the 29th for your two month shots and stats. I can't wait to see how much you have grown.

London Willow, you bring so much joy and love to our lives. I just can't imagine my life without you.

A Party for MY Princess!

On December 12 Brooklyn turned TWO. We had been talking up for birthday for weeks. Telling her that she was going to be TWO. Asking her how old are you going to be. It was actually quite funny because every time we asked her it sounded like she was saying NINE. I wanted to make her birthday morning special and since her dada had to work when she woke up we made her favorite blueberry pancakes. I had been talking up her birthday party all throughout breakfast because I wanted Brooklyn to get a morning nap in before her JUMP party at 12:30 so she wouldn't be a little beast at her party. We had a great morning just hanging out at home, eat breakfast, napped and then it was time to party. We had her party a JUMPMANJUMP which was a place with bounce houses, a super slide and a obstacle course. Brooklyn had a great time. She got so many great presents. We are so blessed to have such amazing friends that came out to celebrate Brooklyns' life. After her party we came home and pulled out some of our new toys and play and then we were fortunate enough to get a afternoon nap in as well. Brooklyn had an amazing second birthday. We will be going to the doctor on the 29th so I will post her two year stats.

London's One Month

The time has flown by so fast even thought we spent three weeks out of her first month in Texas, London is growing so fast. She goes to the doctor on the first of December for her well baby visit, but she is gaining weight and growing at a rapid pace. London's biggest admirer besides her mommy and daddy are her big sister Brooklyn. She loves to give London her "mine" aka paci when she cries which is very rare. London is such a good baby. All she really does is eat, sleep and poop. She is just the most precious little baby and very mild mannered. She does make a ton of wierd sounds when she sleeps and really only cries when she wants to eat. We are so blessed to have Miss London Willow in our lives. She has truly completed our family and with each passing day my love for her grows more and more. I can't wait to see what the future holds for her.

I know I am way late on getting this posted, but better late than never.

Where do I begin, Sunday October 17, 2010 I spent a couple of hours at work finishing up a poker tournament at the Grand Sierra, then mom, Brooklyn and Veronica and I came home to get some last minute laundry done and get my hospital bags packed. My due date was still a week away, but I had a doctors appointment scheduled at 11am on Monday and I had I hopes that we would be able to schedule a induction. Around 10pm that night I started to feel contractions so I went and woke up my mom and layed with her for a few minutes for her to time them. They were roughly 3 to 5 minutes apart so we decided to go get checked out at the hospital. Nick stayed home with Brooklyn until the sitter could make it and I wasn't sure I was really in labor. So off we (Mom and Veronica) went. When we got to the hospital I got upstairs and check and the nurse said the dr wanted me to wait an hour and see if I progress any further around midnight I was admitted and I called Nick to let him know so he could start making his way. I was given an IV and waited and waited and waited some more. Around 7am the on call dr came in to check me and said that he didn't think that I was actually in labor and my going to let my OB make the call on starting the pitocin or not. Around 8am Dr. Schumacher came in and said that he was going to wait to start the pitocin until I dilated further. He would check back at lunch time and he did. So, at that time they started the pitocin and Dr. S said that he would be back around 5pm to check me well he showed up a little early at 4:30pm and broke my water. I could feel my contraction pretty good, but still not dilated far enough for a epidural so I got some pain meds via IV at 4:55pm. It was 5:50pm when I was finally able to get the epidural and because I was having major contractions while getting the epidural I moved and the Dr. had to stick me again. It hurt so bad. I didn't remember feeling anything with Brooklyn, but man did it hurt. Dr. S came back in with my wonderful nurse April and checked me I was at a 5. Nick asked April how much longer she thought it would take and she said probably another 3 hours or so. The last thing Dr. S said before he left was let us know if you get the feeling you have pressure on your bottom. I had mentioned to April that I felt as if the epidural wasn't working and she said she would be back at 6:50pm to check me again. Nick had mentioned to my mom and sister that they should go get some dinner and go for a walk since it was going to be a while, however my mom was adamant that she was not going anywhere that with your second things progress fast. On my very next contraction I had pressure on my bottom I thought to myself no way so I kept it to myself until the next contraction and then I looked over at my mom and said "Well who wants to know that I have to poop" and my mom said the nurse does and asked it I wanted her to go get her and I said no that April would be back in a few minutes to check me anyways. Well when April came back in at 6:50pm I told her I felt like I needed to poop and she checked me and said whatever you do don't push that she was right there and she needed to get her cart and Dr. S. So, within moments everyone was in place and I was time to push. I pushed once and then it was time to push again, but I had to wait because I had to cough so, I told the Dr. to hold on that I needed to cough. He looked at me and said I was coughing harder than I was pushing and to keep coughing. So, I coughed three times and at 6:58pm London Willow Wood was born weighing 7lbs 1oz 19 1/2 inches long. She was perfect and beautiful. It was such a amazing and fast progression from my water being broke at 4:50 to delivering London just two short hours later.

In preparation for the newest arrival we wanted to spend a little one on one time with Brooklyn doing special little things. So two weekends ago while Nick's mom (Grammy) was in town we drove over to the local pumpkin patch. They had pony rides, bounce houses, magic show, and a train ride. Brooklyn didn't enjoy the pony ride at all. She cried the moment her daddy tried to put her on it. All she really wanted was look at all of the pumpkins and walk around. All and all we had a great time. Brooklyn was a little under the weather hince the super red face and sickly look on her face.

37 Weeks!

Oh my my! I can't believe that I am 37 weeks. In just a few more weeks my newest little love will arrive. We are still not sure on a name for her, but I am sure once I see her lovely little face it will hit us. I am so ready for her to be here. I am feeling so much more tired with her than I ever did with Brooklyn. I am feeling so much more pressure and having a lot of little contractions. I am scheduled for a doctors appointment on the 6th, when I went to the doctor last week I was already dilated to a ONE, but of course Mary was quick to tell me that I can sit at a one for weeks. My cervix was still long and hard. My mom and older sister Veronica is schedule to arrive on the 16th and I can't wait. Although my sister has two little girls of her own she had two c-sections so she has never experienced natural childbirth. I am very excited to be able to share this with her. My mom was there for the birth of Brooklyn and actually was her first grandchild to see be born. Both my little sister Valerie and my brother's wife Liza had c-sections with both Caden and Zackary so even though my mom was there she wasn't able to be in the OR. I am very excited for Brooklyn to be a big sister. We are working with Brooklyn and her baby dolls. How to love them, hold them, give them sweet little kisses. She is going to be such a great big sister. We go to the stores and Brooklyn sees baby's and she gets so so excited. With Nicks golf season wrapping up shortly he has been home in the evening much earlier than before and has been able to spend so much more one on one time with Brooklyn. I am actually really jealous. Brooklyn is turning into such a daddy's girl. I ask her so say I love you momma and she will say Dada. Or when I pick her up from Sues' after work 98% of the time her first word is dada...When Nick gets home in the evening she jumps for joy and her eyes just light up. It is really a sweet thing to see. I guess I should be grateful because with #2 soon to make her grand entrance Brooklyn has a strong bond with her daddy and maybe won't be jealous of the attention momma has to give to her baby sister.

21 Months

It is hard to believe that my first born will be TWO in just three short months! I have no idea where the time has gone. I can still remember the day she was born. It really does seem like it was yesterday. Brooklyn has grown into such a sweet young toddler. I am actually not afraid of the terrible twos because she does have such a sweet little personality. However, potty training and getting her into her big girl bed, YIKES! Don't get me wrong my child is not perfect, because she does have her moments. She is really gearing up to be a big sister. She loves to play with her dollies and give mommies belly kisses. She will only love on my bare belly. She is such a funny little girl. I know it is hard to tell from the pictures above, but she really doesn't like to have her picture taken. I really have to catch her at the right times.

Brooklyn, you are such an amazing little lady. You have blessed our lives in ways that I can't even describe. Mommy can't wait for you to be a big sister. I am so proud of the young lady you are becoming. I am so amazed by you each and everyday. I love you so much!

Potty Training not so much!

Well I read the Three day potty training book. Had a two and a half day weekend to devote to my little girl. We woke up bright and early on Saturday at 7am and hit it hard. Then boom Brooklyn had diarrhea. Well after the first accident during the am nap time in her bed and big girl panties we went for round two then before 10am we had 4 poopy pants. So, after her pm nap time and during the early evening hours she still hadn't went in the potty. So Round Two! It started off Sunday morning we went to attempt to potty and about 30 time throughout the day. Even at Alexa's birthday party we would say peepee so we would run to the potty. After 48 hrs still no peepee in the potty. However after Brooklyn's nap this afternoon I caught her making poopy in her pull up so I rushed her over the to potty and she got a little in the potty. We celebrated! She got lots of love and hugs and high fives and a Super Duper Dora Sticker. We are going to continue to work on the potty training. Luckily my mom will be here soon to help out for a little while before #2 arrives and she will help me out. Beside trying to potty train we also need to sleep in our big girl bed.

RIB Cook Off!

We started out the month of September by going to the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook Off! Brooklyn had such a great time. She ate started out with corn on the cob, then had some ribs, a pretzel and then the nice guy at the pretzel stand gave her a FREE bag of cotton candy. She loved it. She danced with her daddy and was just a complete goof ball.

July 4th in Waco!

This year we spent July 4th weekend in Waco. It was a great time for family and fun. One of my best friends from high school was getting married and we had a family reunion. I spent very little time with the family or Brooklyn for that matter because I had a lot to do with the wedding party. But Brooklyn was well taken care of by a multitude of family members. I will post about the wedding and reunion later. My sisters also have pictures of Brooklyn playing with the sparklers. We had a great holiday weekend. Up next is Nicks family reunion on the California coast. I can't wait! Fun in Sun!

These are of her 24weeks and 4days! We can't wait to meet her! She is so precious! She looks like her big sister! It is really amazing to feel her move all about. She is still in the breech position. Which she has been in for 10 to 12 weeks now or at least at every ultrasound she has been. I hope she turns soon.

Today had to have been the worst doctors visit to date for Brooklyn. It was the first appointment that we had that daddy wasn't able to make it. Which meant emotional mommy got to hold her own baby down and watch her get FOUR shots. It was so heartbreaking. Brooklyn had never really cried before with shots, but today she made up for all the past ones. Mommy had to cry too. It just hurt my heart so bad. Brooklyn was trooper in the end and walked herself out of the doctor office. On a positive side Brooklyn doesn't need anymore shots until she is FOUR. After the doctors appointment we waited for Daddy to get home and we went to get Keva Juice. It was yummy.

Daddy and Brooklyn on Father's Day! We all spent a nice relaxing day at home just hanging out watching the US Open. All and all it was a great day for all. I got to relax without doing to much. It was almost like mothers day, but don't tell Nick he might want a do over day!

18 Months!

My little baby turned 18 months old! I can't believe she is growing up so fast. She is amazing. Everyday is something new with her. Last week she got a new leap frog toy named Violet. Her daddy managed to rename her Prince because she is purple. Nick also likes to call her Purple Rain. He is so funny, but Brooklyn loves her. She has to go everywhere with her. She is very chatty but doesn't say very many words or sentences. She has a new found love, her daddy! She just loves Nick. She can't get enough of him. When the garage door opens she runs off to meet him at the door. If you ask her who her favorite person is she will say dada dada. It is pretty cute. It only took a year for her to become a daddy's girl. She is a very big eater, but you wouldn't know it by how much she weights. Barely 21 pounds, however she is very very active. She loves to play in her swimming pool. She loves to give mommy's' belly kisses. She is super excited to be a big sister. Brooklyn, mommy and daddy are so in love with you and are truly blessed you are such a sweet precious little ball of energy. We love you Brooklyn Lea.

Playdate with Mason

Brooklyn had a playdate with Mason today. They had such a good time. Mason chased Brooklyn and Brooklyn chased Mason. Brooklyn even played with a kid she didn't know and pushed him around on his toy.

Thanks to Auntie Roxy for taking Brooklyn this week while Johnell is on vacay. She is having a great time. She can't wait for her pool party tomorrow.

Finally Summer Weather

Today was the first weekend to get outside and play in the water. Brooklyn had such a great time in her new little pool. We were hoping Mason was going to come over but it got windy so we got out, but not before Brooklyn took a header into the pool and got her scared. I don't know how in the heck it happened her foot slipped and she went head first. Poor baby was scared for a few seconds, but was okay in the end. She had a great time and can 't wait to do it again.

We had a pretty low key Easter. Brooklyn and I had breakfast together then she took a THREE hour nap. Then daddy (Nick) made it home and they had lunch together. Then we hunted eggs in the house because the weather has been poor and Brooklyn has been under the weather. So we made the best of it. Brooklyn did a great job finding all of her eggs that her daddy hide for her.

I honestly have no clue where the heck March has gone. We have been so busy with honestly I have no clue what and Brooklyn and I have both been under the weather a couple times this past month, but here are a couple of photos of the past month. April will hopefully be a better month for me blogging about life.

At the beginning of March Brooklyn had a play date with sweet little Mason. Mason is such a little love bug. He will give hugs and kisses and just loves to share them with Brooklyn. We just love it when Mason comes over to play.

Tonight Brooklyn had spaghetti for dinner tonight. Boy did she have a mess of herself. She got so messy we had to had a bath in the sink. Yes she still fits in the sink and has a great time. It is also way more convenient for mommy.

Brooklyn and I hung out all day at home. It was such a restful day. While Brooklyn took her afternoon nap so did mommy. It was great. She had such a great day playing with ALL of her toys and loved feeding her baby doll and then she even tried to drink out of the baby's bottle. I love lazy Sundays! Definitely my favorite day of the week.

December 12, 2008! That was the best day of my life! December 12, 2009 What an amazing day. My precious daughter Brooklyn turned ONE. We had such an amazing celebration. Her little party was bee themed. It was so cute! Brooklyn had such a great time. I made so many cute be things for her party. The cake was adorable. Along with all of the photos for Brooklyn through the past twelve months. I have to say a special thank you to our friends at Practically Pikasso who made such a great memento for me from her first birthday. It was so cute. Thank you Koury, Ken and Sammie it was such a great addition to her birthday. She got to see lots of family that she doesn't see that often and a couple of family members she hasn't even seen. Nick and I are so blessed to have such an amazing little girl. She is growing into such a sweet little girl with so much love to give. Trying to keep presents for Brooklyn's' birthday or Christmas has been a little hard. A couple of weeks ago while I was out and about Nick got in the surprise closet and pulled out a gift for Brooklyn. It was her gum ball machine. She liked it for a little while. When I got home that evening and looked at what she was playing with I looked over at Nick and all he could say was "It was a rough night. I had to pull out something new." Seriously! It was what it was. I could box it back up and put it away. However this weekend Brooklyn was feeling a little under the weather. We spent all day Saturday and Sunday just home hanging out and napping and just relaxing. I cleaned out the down stairs bedroom and found a X-mas gift I had put away for her. It was really cool little Winnie the Pooh rider plane. I loved it. So I thought she was such a good girl being under the weather I decided to pull it out for her. It was too cute. Now we are two gifts down for Christmas. Oh well! There are a couple of things to get for her.

This year I had so much more to be thankful for. Brooklyn! She had her first Thanksgiving this year. She ate turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and yams. The yams were her favorite. They ended up in her hair. This was such a wonderful Thanksgiving. Nick even said it was my best Thanksgiving dinner to date. I was so proud. He was really surprised. I mean most things I cook are good or at least that is what I thought. Either way it was a wonderful day. Good friends and my family. It was a great day.

WOW! Really it is all I can say. My little girl is 11 months old. She is quite the little piece of sunshine. After a long hard day at the office I get to go pick her up from Johnell and she looks up at me and BAM it is a bee line for her momma. She gives me the biggest hug her little baby arms can manage. It is the perfect end to a day. Her little face when she gives kisses, the way she says momma over and over again. My precious little Brooklyn has blessed my life in so many ways. I am lucky to have such a happy easy baby. She is growing up to be a sweet little girl. Brooklyn is truly amazing. I am blessed to have her in my life.

*Loves her peaches, pears and mandarin oranges.

*Hates Gerber graduates food. She would much rather eat real food.

*Is almost ready to walk.

*Brooklyn will stand up in the middle of the floor and sway back and forth and then plops to the ground. She is not quite brave enough to take that first step yet.

*Sleeps from 8pm to 7am! (Most of the time!)

*Takes TWO 2 hour naps during the day.

This past weekend we drove to Vegas to see some family. Brooklyn got to meet her Aunt Jeannie, Uncle Bob, cousins Megan and Jimmy Ray, along with her other cousins Baby Victor, Gussy and Adriana. She also got to see her Auntie Lupe again. While we were there we went to the Hoover Dam. We had a great time seeing family. FYI Vegas is no fun with kids, but I wasn't there to see Vegas, but family. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of Brooklyn with Uncle Bob, Aunt Jeannie or Megan and Jimmy. Super Poopy Oops! Hopefully I will get some in December.

On Saturday I took Brooklyn to the pumpkin patch. I have to say I don't think I have ever been to a pumpkin patch before. Hum! Well it is a first for both of us! (I am sure if I am wrong my mother will correct me in a comment. Right MOM!) We had a nice time. We even went on a hay ride which I have to say was super boring. I had a great time anyways. 10 Months Old

Yesterday, Brooklyn turned 10 months old. I can't believe how big she is getting and how fast time is flying by. I took her to the doctor on the 6th and she got her flu shot and we also got her stats since I was a little late on getting her to her 9 month appointment. She is weighing in at only 17.11 pounds and 27 inches long. The doctor doesn't seem to think she will make it to 20 pounds by her 1st birthday, but we will see. I took her to daycare yesterday a little late because her normal sitter is on vacation and we went to a new lady, Mrs. Sue. Brooklyn had a rough day, but hopefully today will be better. She just needs to adjust. Last night we also gave Brooklyn her first big girl meal. She had hamburger with macaroni and green beans with a sippy cup of milk. She did so good. She ate all of her food with her little fingers and made a big mess all over herself. It was so cute. Afterwards we went up for bath time and play time. It was such a good night. She is so precious and I can't wait for what is in store for her as she gets bigger. I am so amazed by her already and we haven't even made it to a year yet. I am getting so excited for her birthday party in WACO.

Brooklyn decide tonight she needed to help mommy with her homework. So, she rearranged all of my flashcards. She really doesn't like the word "NO"! She crinkles her little nose and will start to whines and gets this little look on her face kinda like "who me mom?" She is also cutting her front two bottom teeth. I think it is about time, but I think Brooklyn would be okay gumming everything. Her little gums are swollen and sore. I hope they cut throw soon.

Brooklyn and I started our day off trying to eat a few cheerios, but as you can see she wasn't happy.
Then we decided to go and play on the floor. Brooklyn loves her new little blocks.

She really just likes to put them into her mouth.

Then we ended our night with some more cheerios. Brooklyn really just loves them.

I had to take Brooklyn to the doctor last week because she had been violently pulling on her ears. I was concerned that she had a ear infection, but the baby sitter said that since she wasn't fussy, still was eating normally or a fever that she was fine. Then her husband said "Well she probably just found her ears and is playing with them." Since it was on a Friday I wanted to play it safe, so I took her in. Dr. Ishibashi found absolutely nothing wrong with her. All she said was that she probably just found her ears and wants to play with them. So, Justin you were right. Brooklyn, of course, had her temperature and weight taken. I was curious at how much she weighted anyways. I was a little shocked that she only weighted 16.14 pounds. Dr. Ishibashi doesn't think Brooklyn will weight 20 pounds by the time she is one. I guess we will see. Brooklyn is getting so good at pulling up her self on things. She is a speed crawler. You can't take your eyes off of her for one second. Last week I also saw her pivot from the ottoman to the couch without holding on to anything. I could not believe it. Brooklyn is growing up so so fast. Her only words are still bah bah and mama. She is working on trying to get Dada out, but no luck yet.

Shopping In Style!

Brooklyn is no longer having to hang out in her car seat at the stores any more. On Monday we went shopping at Costco and she got to ride in the shopping cart. She looked so cute hanging on and checking everything out. She was trying to grab on to stuff with her little hands. This little girl is moving on up in this world. Now only if she would start getting those little teefers of hers.

Today I upgraded Brooklyn to her big girl car seat. She loved it. It is so comfortable and stylish. It has a little girl flair to it. The down fall to it was the hour I lost today getting loaded up in the truck. What a giant pain in the butt. This will be her last car seat. It goes all the way to a booster seat. My baby girl is growing up so fast. I took Brooklyn to the mall today for a walk and a little shopping. She seemed happy with her new chair. I just need to get a sun shade for her. The sun was shinning on her little face while we were driving. She has her little mirror on the back of the seat so she can see herself. She is really big on blowing spit bubbles with her mouth right now. We were napping today and I was sleeping and she woke up on was blowing her little spit bubbles in mommies face. Needless to say my nap was over.

Messy Messy Little Girl! We got more food on Brooklyn's clothes tonight then we got in her mouth. Nevertheless she is growing up so fast. She is pulling herself up on things. She hasn't cut any teeth yet soon I'm sure. She is oh so sweet. She wakes up in the greatest moods in the morning. I am also very happy to report that she is sleeping through the night. I am totally in love with this little girl. I can't wait to watch her grow up.

This past weekend we went up to Santa Clara and went to Great America. We had so much fun with our friends. Bailee had a blast. That girl is fearless. Brooklyn was such a little trooper. All the kids were good. The adults crashed at 8:30pm and the kids stayed up causing mayhem I am sure. Then on Sunday we went to San Francisco and went down to the pier. We had great weekend.

I am telling you when you are home alone without your better half to take of things like this you have not idea what to do. A couple of days ago my little cat Zoee go outside on somehow managed to drag in a poor defenseless bunny. I was upstairs doing laundry when I was on my way to my bedroom when I heard Zoee and looked down at her and saw that she had something in her mouth. So I turned to flip the light on when I saw a rabbit upstairs on my landing. I freaked out. I yell for Bailee to run next door and get the neighbor. Meanwhile the little bunny is trying to escape from Zoee. The little bunny manages to get down the stairs and into a corner. Well my neighbor wasn't home so I had to lock Zoee in the laundry room. I called animal control and they said that they would be out. Well THREE hours later still no animal control, but Nick showed up and put the bunny outside. I just hope that it survived.

Brooklyn is so excited that she can stand up in her crib all by herself. I should add that on Friday July 17 she started crawling on her knees like a big girl. She is totally cute when she does it. She will take four crawls and then give up and do the army crawl. She is such a little love bug. I just love to squeeze her.

Brooklyn and I started our July 4th out at the local water park. We had such a fun time. It took Brooklyn a little while to get used to the water. The water was pretty cold to start out the day with. I however got pretty sunburned on my back by the end of the day.

Over the past weekend Brooklyn and I went over to California to see some of our family. We had such a fun time and can't wait to go back again in August.

What a way to kick off Father's Day! Nick had to work this morning and then when he went to his car after he got off he found out that he had a flat tire. He found a divet tool in the tire. The two prongs at the end broke off in the tire.

Then for Father's Day Brooklyn got her daddy some personalized golf balls. Maybe these will help him win big money on the course. We went out and had a nice dinner at Outback. I had made reservations at Ichiban's, but Nick didn't want to take Brooklyn there. He thought it would be too much for her.

SIX Month Stats!

Brooklyn had her 6th month well check today. I was so proud of her. She got three shots in her little thunder thighs. She didn't really cry at all, just a little whining. Brooklyn still isn't sleeping through the night so Dr. Ishibashi told me to up her ounce intake at night so I will try 5 to 6 ounces tonight. Hopefully she will sleep a little longer tonight. Brooklyn is doing really great with her veggies and fruits.

**Dr. Ishibashi was completely amazed at how mobile Brooklyn is. She was crawling ALL over the table doing her thing. She said typically she doesn't see kids crawling until 8 months or so. She was very happy with Brooklyn's progress.

Six Months!

On June 12, 2009 (Yesterday) my little girl turned 6 months old. I say it every month at the same time I can't believe Brooklyn is yet another month older. I feel like moments ago I was in labor and telling my mother to get her hand off of my leg while I was trying to push (I am still sorry I got upset at you mom, but you were annoying me at the time.) or laughing at Nick trying to count down my contractions. The first moment I saw Brooklyn. The utmost greatest moment of my life holding MY daughter for the first time. Time has flown by so so fast. My love for Brooklyn grows and grows with each passing moment. When she looks up at me with those BIG blue eyes or smiles at me because she loves her mommy and is happy to see me. When is laughs at her daddy just because he is funny. I have so many wonderful years ahead of me with my daughter. I look forward to our future watching you grow, crawl, talk, and walk. The first time you say "I love you mommy!" Brooklyn, mommy loves you so much and can't even imagine my life without. It seems so funny that my life before you seems like such a long time ago. You make mommy very happy and gives her so much love with just your smiles, giggles and stares.

We go to the doctor on Wednesday for those dreaded shots and I will post her stats then.

Also, thank you to my family and friends for all the love and support over the past year and a half and getting Brooklyn into the world and helping make her life such a amazing life for Brooklyn. She has so many people in her life that love her. Nick and I are blessed to have the support of friends and family.

Brooklyn has developed this amazing fascination with her little feet. It is totally precious! She loves to put her feet in her mouth or suck on her toes. In a couple of days she will be 6 months old, half a freaking year. I can't even tell you where the time has gone to. I am truly amazed by and completely in love with my daughter. She has just the sweetest disposition and calming sense about her. I am truly blessed to have her in my life.

Brooklyn is doing the ARMY CRAWL!

I am so amazed at how Brooklyn is progressing with the growth process. A couple of nights ago Brooklyn was on the bed and she started to Army Crawl. I couldn't freakin' believe it. My little five and a half month old is army crawling. She is growing up so so fast. She goes all over the place on the floor, in her crib and on our bed. I am sure she will be walking before I know it. I am just waiting for her first word (MAMA).

SHOE! Brooklyn is such a sweetheart! I am so amazed by her everyday. She loves to eat her baby food and smile. She smiles all the time. When is wakes up in the morning she just grins from ear to ear. She just makes me melt every time I look at her. I have to admit that I have just recently just started letting her sleep in her own room. I just haven't been ready to let her sleep so far away from me. She is doing fine in her own bed and sleeping better and I have to admit I am too. I just love love love my little Brooklyn.

FIVE Months!

Brooklyn hit the five month mark yesterday! All I can say is that time is going by way to quickly. She is developing quit the little personality. She loves her feet. She just can't get enough of them. She grabs onto them with her hands. I love to bring them up to her face and "slap" her with her own feet. She just giggles at that. Brooklyn is getting all sorts of baby food. She really hasn't rejected any. She is on formula now. A couple of weeks ago I started noticing a decline in my milk production, then I got my cycle so I started her on formula. She didn't like the first one I tried but I found one she really likes and takes without a problem. I am so proud of her. She still doesn't sleep through the night. She will sleep for about 5 or 6 hours and then wake up for a feeding. She likes to be held still. She will let you know when she is hungry or poopie, but other than that she is really just a happy baby. She has the most sweetest smile I have ever seen. I could just look at her all day long. I am just smitten. When she wakes up in the morning and she smiles at me I just melt. It is the greatest part of my day. I can't wait for her to say mommy or I love you. I am just amazed by my baby girl.

Well after two and a half years we are finally starting the renovation on our backyard. We have started laying the sprinkler lines and this morning they have started the frame for laying the foundation of our patio. I am so excited. I can't wait to have a patio, a bbq, and a place to put Brooklyn's little swing set.

Yesterday Brooklyn went to the doctor to get her shots and a well check up!
She did really good. She started her morning off in a really great mood. (First Picture) Then her daddy picked her up from Johnell's and was off to the doctor. She did so good. Very little tears. Dr. Ishibashi says she is right on track developmentally. She also said her eyes are really blue and most likely won't change colors. I am crossing my finger Brooklyn will be a blue eyed baby.

It is hard to believe that just four months ago she joined my life. Brooklyn has given me so much love and happiness. I can't imagine life without her. She has just the sweetest disposition. With Brooklyn turning FOUR months on this Sunday I decided to test the waters with rice cereal. She is getting ready to go in her high chair.

The first bite! I think she is liking it! She has a little nose flair! (I have no clue where she gets that from!!)

Finally, we are done! She ate her whole bowl. Not to big of a mess!

She LOVED the cereal!

I can't believe she is already sitting in her high chair and eating cereal.

Pretty soon she won't need me!

SAD! My baby is growing up soooo FAST!

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail! On Saturday I took Brooklyn for her Spring Time Pictures and to see the Easter Bunny! I couldn't believe how good she was. She sat right on his lap and smiled so big. It was a great experience! She took really good pictures at the studio also. I can't wait to get them. I just love her little smile. It just makes me melt. Sorry the easter bunny picture isn't that great. I just got wallets. But it still is a great picture. I just love it !

Brooklyn got a new Baby Einstein jumper/exersaucer. She is completely amazed my it, then she gets frustrated and wants out. Look at how intense her little eyes get.

March 20, 2008 after three and a half months I decided that it was time for Brooklyn to make her way into her own bed. The first night she slept in her own bed for about three hours. Then it was feeding time and in with mommy she went. March 21 we took the night off and decided to cuddle together. (Photo #1)

March 22, Brooklyn fell soundly asleep. Snug as a little bug in a rug. (Photo #2)

Tonight I left her in her bed to fall asleep on her own after her bath. She was a bit fussy. I only had to go up to her room once to reinsert the paci-pat. She is becoming such a big girl.

I am just to in love with her. Everytime she sees me she gets a big smile on her face. When she wakes up in the morning she is such a little happy ray of sunshine. I am so lucky to have such a precious, wonderful loving baby.

WELL YESTERDAY BROOKLYN KEPT MAKING GREAT ATTEMPTS TO ROLL OVER. I COULD JUST SEE THE DETERMINATION ON HER LIITLE FACE. SHE JUST COULDN'T QUIT FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET HER LITTLE SHOULDER FROM UNDER HER BODY. SO, I WENT LAST NIGHT AND HAD A LITTLE GIRLS NIGHT WITH MY FRIEND JOHNELL AND WHIE I WAS SITTING AT DINNER I GOT A TEXT FROM MY FRIEND AND MOST RELIABLE AFTER HOURS CHILD CARE PROVIDER ROXY THAT BROOKLYN ROLLED OVER. MY HEART WAS SO HEAVY THAT I WASN'T THERE FOR SUCH AN AMZING MOMENT. THEN THE NEXT TEXT FROM ROXY WAS BROOKLYN ROLLED OFF THE COUCH. I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EYES. ROXY SAID SHE JUST SCARED HERSELF AND SHE HAD NO BUMPS OR BRUISES. I AM POSITVIE ROXY WAS MORE HURT THAN BROOKLYN. WHN I GOT HOME TO FIND OUT MORE DETAILS SHE HAD ACTUALLY ROLLED OFF THE OTTOMAN, WHICH IS REALLY LESS THAN A FOOT OFF THE CARPETED FLOOR. I DID WAKE BROOKLYN UP AND SHE HAD THE BIGGEST SMILE ON HER FACE. SO, SHE WAS JUST FINE. ROXY IS REALLY A GREAT CARE PROVIDER AND SHE LOVE LITTLE BROOKLYN.
